To demonstrate by video presentation the effectiveness of corneal sustained release implantable antimicrobials in posterior corneal infections and abscesses
Intrastromal implantable corneal antimicrobials is a newer and efficient drug delivery technique in management of posterior corneal infections and abscesses both bacterial and fungal (3 fungal,6 bacterial & 1 nocardial case series, in which Amphotericin B, Amikacin, Moxifloxacin implants were used) with fewer adverse effects on endothelium and ocular surface, and reduces the necessity for topical administration significantly.
