The visualisation of eye during surgery has evolved from bare eye surgery to microscope & now to monitorbased 3D visualisation system.
The NGENUITY 3D system is an integrated platform for the
real-time,DIGITALLY ASSISTED vitreoretinal surgery (DAVS)
with an HDR 3D digital camera that provides excellent resolution, image depth, clarity and color contrast. The depth & clarity & field of vision even at a such high magnifications (18-28% more than microscope) with NGENUITY allows a surgeon more precision during surgery.
Though the system initially was developed for Vitreoretinal surgery now is being used for all anterior segment procedures like Phaco, Trab, Corneal & orbital surgeries as well.
The system offers and expensive panoramic surgical view that provides full access to the operating view to everyone in the operating room, and facilities improved posture for the surgeon. Its also an Excellent tool for fellows and postgraduate learning.
The course demonstrate the use of 3D of NGENUITY in various ophthalmic procedures.
