The objective of this video based course is to demonstrate innovative new surgical techniques to deal withthe challenging surgical situations in difficult and complex cataracts. Presenters will highlight the case bycase challenges encountered with posterior polar cataract, mature hard and supra hard cataract, complexsoft cataract, morgagnian white and intumescent white cataract, subluxated cataract, and small pupil withhard cataract. Video assisted step by step demonstration of innovative techniques using new technologies tomanage these challenging and complex situations will be done. The choice of phaco settings, variation offluidics, phaco tips, new choppers and chopping methods will be vividly shown and discussed.Purpose: This interactive course will help the attendees to understand and apply innovative technologies andtechniques that will improve surgical skills required to deal with various challenging complex cataracts andachieve safe and predictable outcomes.
