Uses of Amniotic Membranein Ophthalmology

Our understanding of role of Amniotic membrane in Ocular Surface healing has made a paradigm shift in themanagement and outcome of various surface procedures.This IC will highlight the role of AMG in surface healing, it’s use as onlay and inlay grafts in various OcularSurface Diseases namely, Acute chemical injury, Ocular surface reconstruction in chemical injury sequelae,Surface tumors like OSSN, Pterygium, Salzmann’s nodular degeneration, Non healing corneal defects, Cor-neal perforations, Shield ulcer in VKC, PUKs with corneal thinning etc.Each presenter will demonstrate the technique and role of AMG in different case scenarios with Clinicalpictures and short videos. Use of glue and or sutures in different clinical conditions will be demonstrated.
