Purpose: To study the visual outcome after surgical intervention and visual rehabilitation in cases of sport injuries.
Method: Patients with ocular trauma due to sport related activities were included. Initial visual acuity, plan of management, final visual outcome have been compared.
Result: Final visual outcome has improved from hand movements close to face to counting fingers at 3 metres in 2 cases.
Conclusion: An early and timely surgical intervention will help saving the eye and restoration of vision especially in young children.
