To analyse the color vision, contrast sensitivity and binocular function in patients with glaucoma at a tertiary eye hospital in South India.Diagnosed patients of glaucoma, between august 2017 and January 2018, were examined.Color vision assessed with Ishihara chart, contrast sensitivity on Pelli-Robson chart, binocular function based on stereopsis & worth-four-dot test. Results obtained were analysed. 54 patients with glaucoma (34 males, 20 females), with mean age of 61.5 years were enrolled. 68.5% had POAG, while 9 PACG, 8 NTG. 57.3% had moderate to severe glaucoma. No significant differences were found among groups in the severity or type of color vision loss. However significant loss of contrast sensitivity (65.7%) & stereoacuity (66.6%) was observed.Since defective contrast sensitivity and stereopsis attribute to impaired quality of vision in patients with glaucoma, addressing these abnormalities could add to the quality of vision and also possibly to their quality of life(QoL).
