Objective: To evaluate motor and sensory outcomes of surgical intervention of infantile esotropia with inferior oblique overaction and dissociated vertical deviation. This retrospective study analyzed infantile esotropia patients presenting with IOOA and DVD from 2013-16. Unilateral or bimedial rectus recession with anterior transposition of inferior oblique was done. Results:14 patients (6 male and 8 female) were included. Mean age of surgery was 63.4±31.4 months. Stable successful alignment after a followup of 3 years was seen in 10 (71.43%) subjects after single surgery and in 11 (78.57%) after second surgery. Sensory outcome was available for 9 patients. 4 (44.44%) developed fusion and 5 had suppression (55.56%). Gross stereopsis present in 2 (22.22%),1 (11.11%) had 200 arc seconds stereoacuity and 6 (66.67%) had no stereopsis. Conclusion: Surgical intervention in Infantile esotropia with DVD and IOOA had good motor alignment with minimum two surgeries but poor sensory outcomes.
