Patau syndrome ( trisomy 13) is a syndrome caused by a chromosomal abnormally , in which some or all of the cells of the body contain extra genetic material from chromosome 13 . Prevalence of syndrome is in between 1 in 10,000 and 1 in 21,700 live birth . Edwards syndrome (trisomy 18) , is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of third copy of chromosome 18. Prevalence of syndrome is 1 in 500 live birth . Here we have reported case , 5 months old female child product of non – consanguinous marriage with right eye microphthalmos with scleralisation of superior cornea with infero nasal iris coloboma other eye is normal with hypertelerism with epicanthal fold with depressed nasal bridg with rocker bottom foot. Other systemic examination were normal
