Pilomatricoma is an uncommon, benign periocular skin neoplasm, arising from the matrix cells at the base of the hair . We report a case of 36-year old male, who presented with a gradually progressive swelling over left superciliary area for 5 months duration. On examination, there was a firm, painless, translucent, nodule over the left eye brow . The nodule was approximately 15x 15 mm cystic, round, well-defined and the overlying skin was firmly adherent with bluish-pink discoloration. The swelling was excised under local anaesthesia . Histopathologic examination revealed it as a case of pilomatricoma. Pilomatricoma is usually not considered in differential diagnosis of a soft fluctuant periocular nodule. We want to report this case because of its rarity and unusual presentations.
