Methods:-prospective interventional study on 17 eyes of unilat congenital ptosis. All subjected to LPS resection. Maximum f/U 06 mth. Amount of ptosis, resection, Type of Bell’s, time to recover Bell’s after surgery and corneal complications documented. corneal complication managed by corneal surgeon with BCL,tarsorraphy and thera PK. Results:-14-25 yr. was study group with 10:7 m/f ratio. The distribution of ptosis was 4 mild, 11 moderate,2 sever. Satisfactory correction got in 16 with one undercorr. Superotemporal Bell’s 15 inverse 02. Bell’s recovery observed in 13 cases on day 1, in 03 it took 07, 09 and 12 days; except one 17 days. Large resections asso with big lagophthalmos p<0.001and with poor Bell’s on first post op day p=0.03. Time to recover Bell’s phenomenon have significant effects on corneal complications p<0.01,chi square. Conclusion:corneal care to be given till recovery of Bell’s phenomenon is key to avoid complications after LPS resection.
