Purpose : To assess long term clinical outcomes of phakic IOL implantation. Methods: Prospective study evaluated 107 eyes who underwent phakic intraocular lens implantation. Followup 1year. Evaluation included UCVA,BCVA, slitlamp examination, corneal topography, Lenstar and ASOCT preoperatively ,POD1, 1week, 1,3,6month & 1year. Results: 107 eyes included 32 STAAR ICL (28 eyes plane, 4 eyes toric) & 75 EYE-PCL implantation(33 Plane & 42 Toric). Preoperative refractive error ranged from -3 to -22 DSph and -0.5 to -4 DCyl. Average ACD 3.07mm, average White to White diameter was 11.80mm. 6 eyes had undergone barrage laser preoperatively. Mean preoperative BCVA 0.33 and mean postoperative UCVA is 0.22. Average vault was 492.06µ . 8 eyes showed elevated IOP due to steroid response, 2 due to shallow AC. 2 eyes had rotation of toric IOL which was redialled. Conclusion: Phakic IOL is a safe procedure & adequate preoperative evaluation ensures reliable results with less complications.
