Objective:To illustrate the warning signs by reporting a rare case of necrotizing fasciitis of eyelids
Case report: A 35 year old female presented with eschar and massive swelling of both eyelids following trivial trauma spreading rapidly with danger signs like headache,high fever with chill and rhinorrhea. Surgical debridement with hydrogen peroxide and betadine dressing was done .Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected in swab culture.
Conclusion: In this article we suggests the
indicators that may enable us to diagnose faster as immediate and aggressive treatment is required in such cases or else it may even cost the patient’s life
