Purpose:to present a case of internuclear ophthalmoplegia
Methods:A 25 year old male presenting with complaints of dizziness,blurring of vision and double vision since 2days.detailed ophthalmic evaluation was done
Results:on examination,tortional nystagmus, limitation of adduction of right eye and ptosis of right eye was seen. Fundus was WNL. MRI revealed right thalamic infarcts. Oral steroids was started and continued for 3 weeks, tapered and stopped.patient showed recovery at time of discharge
Conclusion:simple examination is sufficient to diagnose internuclear ophthalmoplegia, however patient should be evaluated for underlying causes such as trauma, tumors, infection,infarcts,etc
