A 11 year old boy presented with right eye double head pterygium and left eye double head recurrent pterygium.Visual acuity, rest of anterior segment, tear film tests and Fundus were unremarkable. He underwent both eye pterygium excision with amniotic membrane transplant and conjunctival limbal allograft harvested from maternal eyes and fixed with fibrin glue.Post operatively grafts were healthy and showed no signs of recurrence on follow up.
Living related conjunctival allograft with amniotic membrane transplant can be an effective novel alternative in extensive and recurrent pterygia and ocular surface disease.
