Purpose-Clinical profile of cases with unilateral disc edema
Method-Prospective study was conducted in tertiary care centre from Oct-17 to March18. All patients presenting with unilateral disc edema between 20-65 yrs of age were included. All patients were subjected to detailed evaluation by slit lamp,fundus examination, BCVA, colour vision, blood investigations& neuroimaging whenever needed. They were followed up at the end of 1st, 2nd, 4th wk & 3month.
Results-Most common age group affected was 20-40yrs. 30 cases were studied in which most common cause was optic neuritis followed by neuroretinitis & 2patients with crvo.
Conclusion- Young males were more commonly involved. Infective causes neuroretinitis to be ruled out before starting pulse steroid therapy.
