Purpose: OCT classification of diabetic CME & correlation with systemic profile & stages of retinopathy. Patients & Methods: 312 eyes of 284 patients between May 2017 to May 2018, aged between 40-70 years, all type 2 diabetics, ranging from 5-20 years duration. All patients diagnosed as having cystoid macular edema by OCT with measurement of the vertical size of the largest macular cyst with maximum macular thickness, correlation between lesion height and systemic parameters. Results: Patients divided into 4 groups.Eyes with cysts less than 30% of macular thickness considered as CME I (n=12, 3.85%),30% – 60% as CME II(n=186,59.62%), 60%- 90% as CME III(n=108,34.62%), more than 90% as CME IV(n=6,1.92%). Larger cysts observed at advancing stages of retinopathy & more among pts with dyslipidaemia which were statistically significant. Conclusion:OCT features helps to diagnose systemic association among diabetic CME patients and may be of use for pts where angiography may be contraindicated.
