Aim:To compare the change in IOP & angle parameters post YAG-PI in PAC & PACG.
Design:Prospective study
Method:14 eyes of PAC & PACG each were studied.Pre & post PI IOP and angle SS-OCT parameters- AC depth(ACD), lens vault(LV), angle opening distance(AOD500,750), trabecular iris space area(TISA500,750), angle recess area(ARA500,750), trabecular iris angle(TIA500,750), iridotrabecular contact(ITC) were studied.
Result:The mean pre-PI IOP was 14(10-22) & 18(12-44),p=0.04, while the post-PI IOP was 14(10-18) & 13(10-40),p=0.88 in PAC & PACG respectively. ACD, AOD, TISA, ARA, TIA differed significantly pre & post PI in both groups, PACG>PAC (all p<0.05) with % increase post-PI greater in PACG>PAC. The median pre-PI ITC 22(4-70) & 97.50(16-100) reduced to 15.5(1-50) & 92(9-98) in PAC and PACG respectively,p<0.001, with reduction of 26% in PAC & 5.02% in PACG, p=0.03. Conclusion: YAG-PI reduces IOP & widens angle significantly in PACG>PAC,however, decrease in ITC was more pronounced in PAC.
