AIM:To study malingering in children and adults due to stress from academic and extra curricular activities or any family stress.

METHODS:tested by attitude of person ,menace reflex,optokinetic nystagmus drum or any stripped pattern used in severe visual loss to check for nystagmus,fogging test,mirror test,prism test,stereoscopic test,visual field test.Ocular pathology was excluded by detailed examination and appropriate investigation.Pattern visual evoked potential test was useful to check integrity of visual pathway.

RESULT&CONCLUSION:Malingering in children is a leading problem today due to stress ,anxiety,depression,streaming from issues with family,school,friends as the child being bullied at school or stressed from academic demand or schedule loaded with extra curricular activities or life at home may be disrupted by a move,new sibling,a divorce or death in the family,Reassurance,compassion,psychological evaluation and treatment are the main mode of treatment.
