PURPOSE: To report rare case of a 35 year black Indian female with ciliary body melanoma.METHODS:Patient hadcomplain of gradually progressive, painless decreasing vision in LE since one month.O/E, vision RE- 6/6, LE- FC 2m PR inaccurate.S/L/E-pigmented dome shaped mass seen just behind the clear lens. Posterior segment- well defined pigmented vascular dome shaped mass located at ciliary body region with associated total exudative RD.Clinical diagnosis of ciliary body melanoma was made. LE USG B, MRI brain and orbit was done followed by PET-CT. Stage IIb was confirmed.Patient underwent LE enucleation with implant.RESULT: Histopathology was HMB45+ with grade Gx.CONCLUSION: Ciliary body is the rarest site of uveal melanoma and presents usually with metastasis.Our case is a young black female who presented at an early stage. The demography and location of tumor makes our case a rare case report.
