It is an observational study. 100 cases of clinically diagnosed dacryocystitis were taken and clinical analysis of the cases regarding age , sex, presenting symptoms, nature of discharge was done. The sample from the lacrimal sac and conjunctiva were collected and isolates were identified. With this study we conclude that dacryocystitis can occur at any age. Chronic dacryocystitis was most common type as compared to acute dacryocystitis and congenital dacryocystitis. Females were affected more than male. Most common organism isolated was coagulase negative Staphylococcus aureus.
