Purpose: To report a case of atypical clinical presentation of a conjunctival lymphoid hyperplasia (pseudolymphoma) in a 10 year old girl on treatment for allergic conjunctivitis since 8 years.
Observation: A 10 year old girl who had been on treatment for Allergic Conjunctivitis since eight years. She presented with a well-defined reddish mass in her left eye temporal to the limbus. She did not respond to a short course of topical steroids, so excision biopsy was performed which showed reactive B lymphoid hyperplasia. Further systemic investigations were also normal. She gave a history of use of Valproic acid from age of 2 to 4years for epilepsy.
Conclusion: We report an unusual clinical presentation of conjunctival lymphoid hyperplasia (pseudolymphoma) in a case of allergic conjunctivitis. Follicular masses are usually seen on inner/medial part of conjunctiva, limbal involvement is an unusual site for development of such lesions.
