FP1436 : A case of Nondiabetic retinopathy mimicking diabetic retinopathy

Radiation retinopathy is a slowly progressive microangiopathy that occurs after prior exposure to radiation for globe,orbit, and head & neck malignancy. We report a case of 37 year old male cane with complain of blurring of vision in the right eye for one month.Best corrected visual acuity was 6/9 in right eye and 6/6 in the left eye.Slit lamp examination was normal in both eyes. Fundus examination revealed perifovealor microaneurysm heomorrahges ,cotton wool spots and macular edema in the right eye.Left eye fundus was normal except for microaneurysms. Oct revealed cystoid macular edema . Fundus floouresciene angiography showed microaneurysms and macular edema in late stages in the right eye and focal leakage in left eye.He had a no history of diabetes,hypertension and systematic vascular disease and normal laboratory findings.Detailed history revealed external beam Radiotherapy for frontal oligodendroglioma. We report a case of non diabetic retinopathy mimicking diabetic retinopathy.
