Ocular Surface Squamous Neoplasia (OSSN) includes the entire spectrum of dysplastic, pre-invasive and malignant squamous lesions of conjunctiva and cornea, typically presenting as slightly elevated pearly grey growth straddling the limbus with tufts of feeder vessels. Etiological factors are UV-B light, HPV-16, HIV seropositivity and stem cell factors.
Interferon α 2b (INF- α 2b) has been used as off-label immunotherapy in OSSN. It is a naturally occurring glycoprotein which binds to cell surface receptors affecting intracellular events resulting in antitumor and antiviral properties.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS POSTER :
1. To emphasize the importance of Impression Cytology for the diagnosis and follow up.Our modified method of Impression cytology will be described.
2.To highlight the efficacy of Immunotherapy in OSSN. The convenient dosage and preparation of drops will be highlighted.
