Cilioretinal artery occlusion is a cause of sudden , catastrophic loss of central vision and subsequent destruction of inner retinal neurons. There is no established treatment. Retinal ischaemia is the final pathway for any vascular retinopathy causing vision loss. A 35year old female presented with complaints of progressive diminution of central vision in right eye over a period of 4days. Her best corrected visual acuity was 6/60 in left eye and 6/6 in right eye. Intraocular pressure was 16mmHg. Fundus examination showed a well demarcated retinal ischaemia centred adjacent to fovea extend up to disc margin. The case was diagnosed to be a cilioretinal artery occlusion. Routine investigations were done to rule out hypertension, cardiac disease and diabetes. Ocular massage was carried out. This poster emphasises on the causes and diagnostic features of cilioretinal artery occlusion.
