A 28 year old young male presented in the trauma centre having suffered from injuries to left side of face in a road side accident. Examination revealed loss of full thickness of skin in whole of the upper lid in the left eye. Tarsal plate and orbicularis were intact. LPS was disinserted from upper end of tarsal plate. Globe was intact. Antibiotic coverage was started and surgical correction was planned. Full thickness skin graft was used to cover the defect taking care to suture the LPS aponeurosis to the tarsal plate details of which will be discussed.Donor site was also taken care of. 1 wk postop , examination was done to assess the lid excursion and graft was taken care of.
