Ankyloblepharon is fusion of part or all of the eyelid margin. The adhesions of edges of upper with lower eyelid may be congenital or acquired.Three patients presented over a period of one year with chief complaint of fusion of part of upper and lower eyelid laterally. The ankyloblepharon camouflaged with the lateral canthus in two cases while in one case it did not involve the lateral canthus. There was reduced eyelid excursion with shortening of palpebral fissure and pseudoexotropia due to lateral ankyloblepharon in all three. All three had trauma as there etiology, a common predisposition. There was no H/O any cicatrising and inflammatory disease and no previous history of surgery. One patient was taken up for only ankyloblepharectomy as his adhesions did not involve the lateral canthus and 2 patients were treated with ankyloblepharectomy with lateral cantholysis. The details of the surgical procedure will be discussed and the cosmetic outcome of all the three cases will be analysed.
