This study was aimed at analysing GCC, ONH and RNFL parameters in the apparently normal hemifield in glaucomatous hemifield defects(HFD).We included 55 eyes with inferior HFD and 60 with superior HFD.Each patient underwent standard detailed clinical evaluation,automated perimetry & SD-OCT.Superior RNFL (AUROC 0.652) & GCC (AUROC 0.842) differed significantly from normals in superior HFD & inferior RNFL (AUROC 0.865) & GCC (AUROC 0.882) from normals in inferior HFD group.GCC performed better than RNFL parameters in identifying the structural alterations in thickness in the apparetnly normal hemifield of eith of the HFD groups.To conclude, even though the normal hemifield in HFD may appear unaffected, there is significant structural damage noted on SD-OCT and may aid in managing such eyes better.
