Treatment of cicatricial lower eyelid ectropion associated with canalicular injury,is a challenge for an oculoplastic surgeon. A 56 year old female presented with complaints of watering from R/E and cosmetic blemish because of lower lid scar. The patient gave H/O road side accident 6 months back.On examination, there was grade 3 ectropion of medial one-third of lower lid with traumatic canalicular laceration.Three subcutaneous injections of 5-flourouracil in the affected area at 3 weeks interval were given before posting the patient for surgery. The scar tissue was surgically released by giving relaxing incisions.Medial canthus was explored for cut ends of lower canaliculi which were identified and secured using Mini-Monoka stent. The Mini-Monoka monocanalicular stent is an effective tool in reconstructing traumatic canalicular lacerations. It is easy to use, carries a minimal risk of injury to the non-lacerated canaliculus, and results in high anatomical and functional success rates.
