Leprosy is a rare contagious disease caused by M. leprae or M.lepromatosis.
CASE REPORT:-On 23/5/18,40 year old female on MDT for Multibacillary leprosy presented with complaints of pain,watering,redness,diminision of vision(RE 6/36 PH NI And LE 1/60 PH NI) since 2 months with nonconcomitant esotropia.RE shows tylosis,madarosis,festooned pupil,scleral thinning,fresh KP’s and facet in cornea,i.o.p.14.6 mm hg;normal fundus;normal ocular movements WITH LE tylosis,madarosis, lagophthalmos,scleral thinning, diffuse epithelial and stromal edema,KP’s,facet,macular corneal opacity,semirestricted movements over temporal region,over abduction over nasal region,i.o.p.8.5 mmhg; no glow in fundus.B Scan of both eyes WNL.
CONCLUSION:-This is a case of a Leprosy with BE Anterior uveitis,lagophthalmos with exposure keratitis in LE managed conservatively with antibiotic e/d,antibiotic e/oint and anticholinergic e/oint.
