This video demonstrates the surgical management of all the 3 types of persistent fetal vasculature(PFV) (anterior, posterior and mixed). Preoperatively all the cases were diagnosed as unilateral pediatric cataract with no suggestive findings of PFV. Intraoperatively PFV diagnosis was made and managed accordingly by pediatric cataract surgeon. IOL was not implanted in one case due to extremely small corneal diameter. The postoperative period was uneventful in all 3 cases. Amblyopia therapy was started. The main aims of management were to clear the visual axis and to prevent bleeding and vitreous hemorrhage by cauterization of the vessels.
