Innovative and simple way of removing lenticule in Refractive Lenticule Extraction. 120 eyes of 60 patients using this technique were operated from May 2017 to February 2018 with one month completed follow up. 3 quadrants of lenticule are separated and delivered out of wound. Attached 1 quadrant is separated by reverse pull using a Shearing Applied Force Extraction (SAFE), ensuring 360 degrees removal of lenticule. This technique keeps the lenticule under control of the surgeon during dissection. The strategic dissection saves time and inflammation with early visual recovery. At day one and at one month the uncorrected vision was 20/20 in 117 eyes and 20/30 in 3 eyes. Separating lenticule 180 degrees opposite incision initially brings lenticule towards incision. Leaving one quadrant attached makes sure lenticule isn’t lossed. This was effective even against Opaque Bubble Layer (OBL) and black spots (low energy). This technique gives predictable results with better outcome.
