Dr.AJOY KUMAR SAHA, S21482

Kimura disease (KD) is a benign chronic inflammatory disorder attributed to an immune mediated hypersensitivity. KD commonly presents with unilateral swelling of subcutaneous tissue in the head and neck area. The disease has usually a benign course except the cosmetic problem . There is no consensus on the management of KD.We report a rare case of KD in a 23 year old female who presented with bilateral proptosis and lacrimal gland enlargement. It was diagnosed on the basis of clinical features and histopathological examination. KD should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a recurrent head and neck mass.
