Dr.Meenakshi Yadav Dhar, D05035

Ocular blood flow was done for open angle glaucoma patients using the Colored Doppler machine [Philips IU22 xMatrix (Bothell WA, USA) . The characteristics of ocular blood flow namely peak systolic velocity(PCV), End diastolic velocity(EDV), Resistivity index(RI ) were calculated. The patients were divided into those showing progression on visual fields versus those with no visual field[VF] progression.Patients showing high resistivity index, normal Intraocular pressure and VF progression were put on topical carbonic anhydrase and followed up for minimum 6 months to see if the progression halted.Ocular Perfusion pressure[OPP] was also calculated and correlation between low OPP , High resistive index and visual field progression was calculated

Out of the 40 patients, there was progression in Visual Fields for14 patients, and their medications were changed.
