This is a case study involving a single case of a 59 year old female who presented with complaints of sudden onset of diminution of vision, pain, watering and redness in both eyes immediately following discharge from ICU for an episode of community acquired pneumonia. Examination revealed the presence of whitish plaque like stain negative interpalpebral lesions in cornea of both eyes, the right eye also had a corneal lesion straddling the limbus and extending around 1 mm into the sclera . AS-OCT found the lesions to be anterior and deep stromal respectively. A lamellar biopsy of the lesions showed the presence of extracellular calcium deposition extending upto deep stroma staining positive with Alizarin red with stromal disorganization .She has undergone EDTA chelation and has reponded favourably. All systemic parameters were within normal limits hence, the idiopathic character of our case . This case markedly differs from hitherto described cases of calcareous degeneration
