Case3-22 yrs F with headache, vomiting & blurred vision both eyes for 2wks. Fundoscopy revealed papilloedema. CTbrain revealed a cyst in the cerebral aqueduct with dilation of all the ventricles.
Discussion-Of more than 500 cases collected in several series, 68% of ocular cysticercus cysts are located in posterior segment & they are sight threatening. But these 3 cases presented with visual impairment though they were extraocular in location.High index of suspicion is required for the diagnosis of ocular cysticercosis because of endemic nature of this infestation in Northeast India due to consumption of smoked pork.
