Dr.Deeksha lochab, D21647
8 years old male who was referred from psychiatry to pediatric ophthalmology as a diagnosed case of autism for squint evaluation.
On Examination, he was found to have alternate exotropia. His vision was 6/12P in both eyes. He was found to have normal anterior and posterior segments.
MRI report suggestive of mild periventricular leukomalacia likely a sequel of hypoxic-ischemic insult.
He was diagnosed as a case of Cortical visual impairment rather than the previously diagnosed case of autism.
