Aim:To Prove the safety of a simple & Novel AC Paracentesis device for safe Intravitreal Injection.
Material & Method : Prospective between 2011 to 2016 Total cases 320.
Intravitral Injection of anti VEGF antibiotics & Steroids are given in various retinal Diseases.
problem associated with Intravit injection Technique is IOP Rise , Vitreous reflux & incarceration in the needle track, Sub-Conjuctival Bleb formation ,Compramised optic disc perfusion & RD. My new innovation AC Paracentesis device is used prior to intravit injection .It drains out aqueous Fluid slowly while giving Intravit Injection .
Result & Discussion : Bleb formation 0.80%, Fundus CRA Pulsation 1.61%. Vit Wick 0.4%, RD-Nil. Pain during procedure 1.2% , Endophthalmitis -Nil.
Incidence of Complications is low, as compared to other studies.
Conclusion – Simple , Innovative new device of pre-Injection Paracentesis is in expensive & is found safe for all type of Intravit injection.
