AIM:To study prevalence & role of antiVEGF in myopic CNV in rural Maharashtra. Method:All patients with pathological myopic who developed myopic CNV between May 2015 to Dec 2016 were assessed. VA, OCT, FFA were done. Intravitreal antiVEGF injections were given on PRN basis & OCT images & response to injections were studied. Results: Out of total 65 CNV patients coming to OPD during period of 18 months in eye hospital in rural Maharashtra,10 eyes (15.38%) (7 Female and 3 male) had myopic CNV. Mean age was 34.7 years (26-70 yrs). Average follow up was 20.3 months(18-30 months). Average number of injections for both primary myopic CNV & recurrence were 3. BCVA at time of presentation was 0.963 log mar, final BCVA was 0.671 with p value(<0.001) with significant improvement in VA. CRT at time of presentation was 351.3 µm and final CRT was 282.6 µm. Conclusion: In rural Maharashtra , MYOPIC CNV has significant prevalence and it responds to antiVEGF injections with stabilization of VA.
