Purpose: The present case highlights a rare occurrence of tubercular meningitis leading to bilateral multiple choroidal tubercles.
Findings: A patient of tubercular meningitis reported to our department for dimness of vision. Her colour vision, contrast sensitivity & anterior segment examination were normal. Fundus examination revealed bilateral multiple choroidal tubercles which are hyperfluorescent without any leakage in fluorescent angiography. USG B scan also revealed bilateral multiple choroidal tubercles which are found to be calcified. The ocular lesions were rendered inactive by anti-tubercular therapy & microbiologically negative by PCR of intra-ocular fluids.
Conclusion: Periodic review ocular examination should be done to detect ocular lesions of tuberculosis early in case of systemic tuberculosis & hence to protect vision.
