Introduction: Retrobulbar haemorrhage is the dreaded complication of eye blocks. The incidence of it is 1 in 700 retrobulbar blocks. Methodology: It was a retrospective study for a period of 5 years. All medical documents were seen and studied to assess the cases of retrobulbar haemorrhage. A total 25 cases were studied from the past medical records. Results: Maximum patients were in young age group between 20-30 years. Male outnumbered female. Precipitating or risk factor were trauma in maximum cases. Visual acuity at time of presentation was 6/60-counting finger 3 mts in 40%. Maximum patients were in grade 4. Management was done maximum on medical treatment. Conclusion: Trauma constitute a major cause of retrobulbar haemorrhage in patients. Timely surgical management of the retrobulbar haemorrhage should be done so as to avoid vision loss in such patients.
