Dr.Rekha Sreedhar, R21549

BACKGROUND-Luckenschadel(lacunar skull) is a rare anomaly usually associated with Chiari II malformation. Syndromic craniosynostosis with lacunar skull is much less common than non syndromic ones.

CASE-We describe a case of a 4 year old male child with dolichocephaly, developmental delay, RE globe luxation with a corneal infiltrate. Despite repeated attempts to save the globe with lid closing sutures and tarsorraphy, failure to follow up resulted in a perforated corneal ulcer.

CONCLUSION-To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of multiple suture craniosynostosis with lacunar skull, parietal encephalocele with globe luxation without Chiari II malformation. We present this case due to its rarity and the need for patient education about regular follow up.
