A 35 yrs old lady presented to Eye OPD, INHS Sanjivani, Kochi with complaints of painless nodule left lower eyelid of one week duration. Ocular examination revealed nodule of 1 cm diameter over left lower eyelid. On surgical excision, a long thin live worm was extracted. On histopathological analysis, the worm was identified as Dirofilaria repens. Based on the diagnosis, the patient was started on anthelminthics (ivermectin and DEC). Systemic examination and investigations were essentially within normal limits. The patient recovered well with no residual symptoms. The aim of this article is to highlight D.repens as a rare cause of subcutaneous eyelid nodule.
