Sixteen eyes were diagnosed to have optic disc pit on routine clinical examination. 3 /16 eyes were misdiagnosed as glaucoma due to clinical features such as : asymmetric optic disc cupping, retinal nerve fiber layer defect and neuro-retinal rim thinning. Congenital optic disc pit is often misdiagnosed as glaucoma due to their clinical presentation and similar visual field defects. High resolution imaging with Optical coherence tomography is an useful tool to confirm the correct diagnosis in doubtful cases.
