Purpose : To report a case of spontaneous reattachment of descemet’s membrane detachment (DMD) post deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) in a case of macular dystrophy.
Method : A 25 year old male who was diagnosed with bilateral corneal macular dystrophy underwent DALK in left eye. Postoperatively ,DMD was noticed for which gas tamponade was done , which was unsuccessful . Later, within 1 week ,descemet’s membrane was spontaneously reattached.
Results : 1 month postoperatively , BCVA was 6/9 with clear graft.
Conclusion : DMD after DALK can spontaneously reattach even after failed attempts of gas tamponade .
