Aim- to determine frequency, clinical forms , types of therapy of traumatic glaucoma among patients sustaining ocular trauma.
Methodology-patients with ocular injury during period 2015 to 2018 developing glaucoma due to trauma were included ,after excluding patients having glaucoma, antiglaucoma drugs, trabeculectomy ,any glaucoma surgeries for before injury.
Patient’s demographics and ocular parameters were recorded from medical records.Visual acuity assessment ,Slit lamp biomicroscope ,Intraocular pressure,Optic disc evaluation ,Gonioscopy,Perimetry .Follow ups, type of treatment for glaucoma given were recorded.
Results-Frequency of traumatic glaucoma was 18.5%. Males were three times more affected . Peripheral anterior synechiae (29%), adherent leucoma (16.1%) and Hyphema (16.1%) were common clinical manifestations of traumatic glaucoma. Open angle glaucoma and closed angle type were 59% and 41% .71% were treated with antiglaucoma drugs and others had surgical intervention.
