AIM: Prevalence of pseudoexfoliation & its association with other ocular & systemic diseases in South Western Rajasthan. METHODS: A hospital based cross-sectional study, 6032 patients > 40 yrs were studied over a period of 1 yr (2015-16). RESULT: Out of 6032 enrolled patients, 372(6.2%) had PXF, prevalence increased with age & was highest among > 80 yrs (18.51%), higher among females (6.38%) than males (5.91%) (p=0.760) & bilateral in 83%. It is significantly associated with cataract with prevalence among PXF group 98.4% (p<0.001), glaucoma 13.7% (p<0.001), SDC 13.2% (p=0.006), pterygium 22.6% (p<0.001), arcus senilis 20.2% (p=0.008) and not significantly associated with ARMD 3.8% (p=0.15), hypertension 16.9% (p=0.12), diabetes mellitus 7.5% (p=0.97) and IHD 4.3% (p=0.41).
