The presentation will highlight the high volume community based eye care project, which since 1990, has reached out to over 1.5 million needy patients, and facilitated their restoration of sight.
The presentation will highlight how to identify the venue for conducting the eye clinic / camp, proper publicity, involvement of local supporting NGO, how eye care screening clinics / camps, should be organised , the flow of patients, dispensing of medicines, spectacles & counselling for procedures.
It will enable an Ophthalmologist interested in volunteer work, community service, etc., to have a comprehensive over -view, of undertaking community service.
