AIM-Reporting clinical profile&outcomes of conjunctival OSSN highlighting the utility of interferon alpha2beta.MATERIAL&METHODS:Eight pts of OSSN evaluated for clinical profile&management over22mnths.Eye exam,TNM,photographs&imaging(when indicated)done.Biopsy(incisional/excisional/map)followed by Interferon alpha2 beta(reconstituted eye drops or 1Mu)&external beam radiation were given where indicated.Side effects,Interferon cost to patient&outcomes recorded.RESULTS: Avg age 60(20-78)&greatest longitudnal diameter(GLD)15.2 mm.Avg T was 2.6.Four(50%)had pigmented OSSN&2immunosuppressed.Adj Interferon-alpha 2b therapy used in 4&2(25%)received EBRT.One had iritis at3 weeks.Avg cost to patient was INR 5250(1500-9000).No recurrences at 16mnths follow up.CONCLUSION: Pigmented OSSN should be considered as a differential diagnosis of tan colored conjunctival mass in India.Topical Interferon-alpha 2b is accessible, safe&effective option for adjuvant&neo-adjuvant therapy.
