Science and Fun in Ophthalmology (SFO)
In real life, success depends on hard work, knowledge and intellect. But to be real winner, you need to be
lucky as well. This game show brings us closer to real life situation where both knowledge and luck play a
critical part.
There will be four teams, which will challenge each other on a scientific format never been used before.
There will be four rounds, namely:
1. Medical management (case presentation) of challenging and interesting cases,
2. Surgical skill demonstration (video based),
3. Journal scan (most interesting , informative literature from the latest journals in a nutshell) and
4. Quiz where every team gets 2 minutes to answer as many questions as possible.
Luck Part :Now we add the luck part in to the mix. After the judges have allotted the marks, roll of dice/roulette
will add additional points to the score. Then a coin will be moved depending on the total score on a snake and
ladder board to decide the final position and this will be done for each round.
In the end, the total of all four rounds will be added up and there will be two winning teams: one based only
on science another based on Science +Luck both.
The Biggest Surprisewe have in store is for the audience! All the people who reach within 15 minutes of
beginning of the game show will enter a lucky draw and ten people will be called on the stage. Here, they will
get a chance to try their luck and three top winners will receive exciting prizes.
