This study included 75 patients with coexistent glaucoma and cataract who underwent single-site combined Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery with trabeculectomy. The outcome measures were improvement of visual acuity, reduction in IOP and number of antiglaucoma medications from baseline.Mean age was 66.72+/-7.806 years. Mean pre-op IOP was 18.11+/- 5.525 mm Hg. 46% had POAG, 36% had PACG, 10% had PXF Glaucoma, 4% had NTG and 2% each of ocular hypertension and Steroid induced glaucoma. At 6 months post-operative follow-up the mean IOP was 13.52+/-2.89 mmHg (75% reduction from baseline). The mean number of antiglaucoma medications reduced from 1.453 to 0.05. The number of patients with BCVA better than 6/18 increased from 74.66% to 92 %.There were no major complications.Trabeculectomy combined with small incision cataract surgery offers excellent IOP control with good visual outcomes. It offers an effective solution for glaucoma coexistent with cataract found in developing countries.
